Lindley Academy Charter School @ Birney (LACS) is a public charter school located in the Logan section of Philadelphia, PA serving students and the community in grades kindergarten through 8. Lindley Academy Charter School was founded on the simple principles that a first-rate education is the birthright of every individual, all children can learn, and every child will be challenged to reach his or her full potential.

Students/Disabilities Served:

LACS provides a full continuum of services for students with disabilities, currently serving students with 10 out of the 13 IDEA disability classifications. LACS implements a full co-teaching model for instruction with a fluid continuum of LRE for students receiving Autistic and Emotional Support.

Services Provided:

LACS provides students with services including speech and language, occupational therapy, physical therapy, vision services, hearing impairment support, instructional paraprofessionals, behavioral specialist consultants, behavioral health workers and ABA, nursing services, augmented and alternative communication (AAC) and other assistive technology, social work and school-based counseling, and psychological counseling.
